     January 2, 2020 is the traditional Chinese Laba Festival, commonly known as Laba, which is celebrated on the eighth day of the 12th day of the lunar calendar. It is mainly popular in northern China. The custom of this festival is to drink Laba porridge. Laba is one of the grand Buddhist festivals. This day is the day when the Buddha Shakyamuni became enlightened, also known as the "magic festival", "Buddha Enlightenment Festival", "Enlightenment Society", and so on. The word "La Ba" originated from the Northern and Southern Dynasties. It was also called "La Ri" at that time. It was originally a Buddhist festival.
